Subtle Knife

Seeings how i'm the only guy on this date: Wednesday, Max 20th, 2009, please don't laugh. I'm trying to get karma, not invade and/or impress. The Subtle Knife is the 2nd book in His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman, that in turn and in a way, pissed of the Christian church. They had solid reason though, the entire book is about a boy and a girl trying to find a knife that can cut anything, including gateways into other worlds, so this good/bad guy who is the girl's father is building an army to overthrow, god, that's right, god. It sets the stage for the epic struggle in the 3rd and final, the amber spyglass.Knife cuts through, rope, to finger, to house, to Oxford, to several different planets.
