I feel strongly about the School Dress code because I think that it is taking away from student individuality and our personal expressions. The school wants us to be in "creative" surroundings but then they're telling us we can't express ourselves in certain ways!
Topics in anyway related to School Dress Codes:
1. Fingertip Rule
2. Uniforms
3. Decreasing student individuality
4. Student rights
5. Boxers
6. Increasing rebellions
7. Expressing feelings
8. First Amendment Rights
9. Tanktops
10. Running Shorts
This is the First Amendment web site.
It has all the rules and rights of students dealing with School Dress Codes.
First Amendment Center: Dress Codes
Schools say that they have dress codes to keep students from getting out of control and to basically keep them in line. But i disagree with this, i think dress codes that are too strict just violate the students rights. I do agree that their should be some guide lines, but not to the point that students cant even find any shorts that pass the dress code. If the students feel as though their dress code is too strict it will just cause them to rebel and create more problems for the students and the school district.
1. rebellion
2. student rights
3. first amendment
4. cleavage
5. boxers
6. tinker vs. des moines trial
7. "bootie shorts"
8. gang clothing
9. strict
10. violation
Thanks for commenting Bethany! I agree completely!
