Phoenix

The phoenix was an ancient bird that came from the sub-continent of India. The pheonix was a mythological fire bird. Mentioned in Egyptian, Phoenician, and Greek Mythology. It is a colorful bird that has gold and scarlet tail. It had a 500-1,000 year life-cycle. When the bird died it would burn up and then a pile of ashes would be left. From the pile of ashes an egg would appear and the life-cycle of the bird would start again. The bird was also said to regenerate when hurt by a foe. The phoenix's tears are said to heal all injuries.
