Well, nuclear power is a fairly safe and effective alternative power. But, it has one major flaw: what to do with the waste? I think that it is a good method, and has been proven to work, but the waste is risky. Personally, I think we should invest in safer, greener methods such as solar and wind until we develope a fool-proof method of disposal that will not negatively affect the environment.
Exacticly what i think… but the waste is somthing that we can deal with for a little amount of time… i say start making more of a power source but not to depend on it for main source…. and if we need it in the futre we can make rockets that are launched into space and just keep going, they wont stop because there is no gravity, i will be off of our hands, sure its expensive but better than nothing
Ok, but just by shooting it into space, doesn't necessarily eliminate our problem. It just puts it off and theoretically it could escillate and become catostrophic, especially if the radiation came back to earth.
GO GREEN!
yes… but in the futrue if it is our only choice it sould work… and it will just keep going there is no gravity and it will just keep going
I understand what you mean, but the galaxy could essentially work like a slingshot and bring it back around… What then? But over all, great idea. But here's what I think. I think we should take a distant planet, uninhabited of course lol, and just keep it there. How much nuclear waste do you actually get per time you make power? And that way when we do know how to get rid of it, we can.
good idea but very complex, it would take so much work to get… even if space is a giant sling shot if it is onlt traviling at 40,000 kph then it will millions of light years to get to the other end, by that time the plant will be gone
Cherenobyl.
What about it?
