Mercury was a messenger to the Roman Gods in Roman Mythology. He had wings and sandels so he could travel quickly wherever the gods needed him to go. Additionaly Mercury was the god of travelers and tradesmen. Mercury was the son of Maia Maiestas. Mercury is still very famous because we now have planets and and element named after him.
