Wrong, mythology came from a series of oral stories such as Homer and Plato. It's mainly used to discuss phyisics such as the story of Daedilus and Icarus

Bliss~ That's not true. The government didn't creat mythology. It's all stories passed on by word of mouth to begin with. When people didn't know the science behind things, they turn to the supernatural.

I don't listen to it, i didn't say it was real, i just stated that it wasn't invented by the government.
Max never stated that he had any belief in mythology, but simply that it had not been creatd by the government, but was created as a solution to the unknown and a tradition of stories passed down by telling.

I find that mythology is very interesting to learn about and to reseach. In my opinion mythology is very different from other ways of life. The Egyptians have about the same belifes, but greeks have many different ways of telling the story of any one of their gods.

greek gods and egyptian gods are the same with differnt names all the gods there are to the greeks there is is to the egyptians
NO they are not jason! Many of the gods have the same title but are known for different things. Example: Ra the Eygptian sun god was known for renewal and creation. Apollo the Greek sun god was known just for the sun itself, and also support all of the arts taking place at the civilization.
Sorry Jason, but Alaina is right. There is a pretty substantial difference between Greek and Egyptian mythology. Some of the god's and goddess' names may be similar or even the same, but they still play different roles in their culture.

Example: Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, is very similar to Venus, the Roman goddes of love. Zeus and Jupiter are also similar, and Hades and Pluto.

Mythology is interesting to me, because I find that it is really neat that each culture has it's own myths and stories. For example we learned about Greek myths in class, but I would like to further explore the myths of other cultures and places. I enjoyed the projects we did with this unit, but felt that we didn't fully cover the topic as much as I would have liked to, so researching this unit would give me a chance cover the stuff that I would like to learn more about.

Greek should be first, it's way cooler with Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades. Compared to Ra, Set, Isis, and Osiris.
I've actually got to disagree, only because I much prefered learning about Egypt than Greek mythology. I thought it was WAY more interesting.
As much as I like Egyptian mythology, I think that Greek is more awesome. The stories are less graphic but just as intense. Plus the characters are more complex.
Sorry, this isn't my topic but I was just checking it out and I sort of agree with Max and Savannah. I've also noticed that Greek mythology, at least the myths I've read, deal a lot more with god-human interaction than Egyptian myths, which gives it a different tone.
The only reason why i bother with Egyptian mythology is 2 things:
1) Set can control animals
2) The epic creatures
I also disagree, cause I have heard about Greek Mythology but not much about Egyptian Mythology.

Mythology is different stories about Greek History, it contains stories about gods, heroes, and monsters. I think that mythology is an interesting subject because Ilike history.

i decided to reserch mythology because it's interesting, and because there are many different myths to look at. there are many different sub-categories included in the categorie of myths. these include: roman gods, roman myths, greek gods, greek myths, native belief systems, christan religions, buddhism, egyptian gods, egyptian myths, and creationism beliefs.
To me mythology is interesting. It shows different culture and religion at the same time. It helps you learn about other people and how they think and how they work in a modern day. We covered the basic greek mythology in class, and I would like to go farther with the mythology so thats why I chose this topic to research.
