Charon

Charon comes for Greek mythology. In Greek mythology he is known as the ferryman for Hades. He would take the souls of the deceased across the river that separated the world of the living and the world of the dead. When someone died the Greeks placed a coin on the deceased on there eyes or in/on their mouth for payment of Charon to take them across the river. Also if the fine wasn't paid the soul had to walk the shores for 100 years.
